Tima and I were just wandering around Namdaemun in hopes of finding a used Fuji XT30ii. But lo and behold, we were somehow able to find the internet-phenom that is the Fuji X100V. Coupled with the fact that it was suspiciously fairly priced, I knew I had to get it. It was a little run down, noticeably slippery from the previous owner’s natural oils, but with a simple cleanup, I’ve quickly fallen in love with this camera.

Went with Minchang. We had a good run, especially during the elimination rounds. Made it all the way to the finals only to get dropped by no other than KU. Sad we lost the YonKo games, but still happy with how it all turned out in the end.

Bungee jumping

The base gave the opportunity to 3 people to try bungee jumping. I’ve always thought of becoming an adrenaline junkie someday, so I happily rasied my hand. The actual experience? Absolutely terrifying. When in the air I couldn’t help but instinctively kick around in search of a surface. Complete panic. I am become flappy bird.

A few small QOL updates I've applied to the site: 1) Created a new variation of the floating nav bar so that it fits within the iPhone SE screen size, containing only the Shortcuts and Contact buttons. 2) Recently applied a new components-based process to the Currently overlay so that it was easier to update on my end and changes to the primary component synced across all breakpoints. 3) Fixed a mistake I made last time I was updating the floating nav bar whereby the Currently overlay was wrongly sized + using the wrong variation (Desktop variation on the Phone breakpoint screen). 4) Also, a little meta, but I finally created a variation of the Timeline post component without an image box. No need to always attach images to a post.

I recently became a member of the Underwood Chess Club (UCC) and joined their first session. Still stuck in the mountains so was only able to join remotely. Apparently, the physically present members took turns playing me on Chess.com. 2:3 W/L record on the day. To be fair, I heard that there was a 2200 rated player present, which explains how I lost the 2 last games in humbling fashion.

Met up with Junhee from base and his friend Yeji (he's a Paralympic swimmer!) to finally watch "Oppenheimer" at Yongsan IMAX (only to realize later that there is a difference between IMAX Laser and IMAX 70mm sigh). Later, we met up with Inseok, Inhyuk, Inhyuk's friend from Spain, Jonghyun and Scarlett to get some 전 and 막걸리. It might have been the fact that I hadn't drinken in months + Junhee and I were both in angry denial over the fact that our 휴가 had come to an end and we had to take a bus back to the mountains in the morning, but I died that day hehe.

Later, we met up with Inseok, Inhyuk, Inhyuk's friend from Spain, Jonghyun and Scarlett to get some 전 and 막걸리. It might have been the fact that I hadn't drinken in months + Junhee and I were both in angry denial over the fact that our 휴가 had come to an end and we had to take a bus back to the mountains in the morning, but I died that day hehe.
